I Have A Dream was designed for 50 middle and junior school students of Rani Bhanvai Vidyalai, Benares, Uttar Pradesh; using art integration, student responses concerning hygiene & sanitation facilities in the school was captured. This learning experience was designed keeping in mind the taboos associated with conversations around sanitation. Using an empathetic approach that integrated art and language, children shared their personal experiences around sanitation and hygiene, this art led approach permitted students to express their discomforts and aspirations without awkwardness. The data collected from this program was further used to design a behaviour change program for WASH in schools. This data was also used as a guide in designing the new toilet that was constructed at the school

Arts in the Humanities

Little City Trails is about exploring nooks and corners of our city; spaces that have retained the warmth of the old even while making way for the new. Through our walks, we focus on archaeology, architecture, art, gastronomy, history, houses and gardens, literature, and culture. Little City Trails sensitises children to the local flavours, heritage & history of the city they call home. This unique coming together of walking, exploring the history and creating, helps children understand urban existence better.

Our Playful Learning modules are designed as participatory learning spaces, the pedagogy is pivoted around art integrated approaches in which the participants build their own cognitive tools as well as external realities. Ideas in this space are formed and expressed through multi-modal and tactile mediums.

The Craft Caravan’s engagements provide opportunities that aid multi-sensory learning. We weave the arts and standard curricula together to create holistic and lifelong learning experiences. We see learning as a process of building deep relationships between the self and the object of study, our curriculums allow for interactions between the learner and the space of inquiry using a variety of mediums and pedagogies.
